THE TEMPLE AT KOM OMBO

The Temple of Kom Ombo was built during
the Ptolemaic and Roman periods and is in fact a dual temple dedicated
to the crocodile god Sobek, and the falcon god Horus-the-Elder.
The temple boasts dual architectural arrangements and the complex
includes interesting storage chambers, a sacred well and small
chapels. The colours in some parts of the ceiling decorations
are amazingly well preserved.
