Weather...
Warm
and dry is the usual forecast! Rainfall is almost nil in
Upper Egypt - nevertheless, occasionally, there can be a
downpours - especially in Luxor (about every 10 years or
so and, yes we had one in 2008!). In Cairo wet weather is
more common. We have had light showers on four occasions
in Cairo while on tour, and one large thunderstorm. Please
consider adding a disposable plastic poncho to your pack
list!
Nights can be VERY COLD,
especially if there is a breeze, hence the need for
a warm coat & jumper/s. Minimum temperatures of 5 C are
not uncommon.
